Key takeaways

  • Keep an untouched export and an old-to-new URL map before moving a catalogue.
  • A domain you own can move with you. Only the owner of a provider-owned domain can redirect its old URLs.
  • Matching the old path on fanlink.cloud still creates a new address; update the placements you control.

Save the source material first

Use ToneDen’s available account export options and keep an untouched copy of the download. Check the provider’s current account notices for availability and deadlines. Keep the file private: exports can contain account information as well as public link data.

Record how many links you expect to migrate. Make a separate list of custom domains, subdomains and unusual pages. A fanlink, a form gate and an advertising campaign are not interchangeable objects, so do not assume an importer recreates all of them.

Build an old-to-new URL map

For every link, capture the old address, release title, expected stores and new address. Mark each item as imported, reviewed or needing attention. Keep this map after the migration; it is your reference when an old post or partner email turns up.

Prioritize active campaigns and catalogue links that still receive traffic. Then work through the archive. Treat similar-looking titles carefully: different versions may need different destinations.

Separate domain ownership from path matching

If you control a custom domain, you can point it to a new provider after the new pages are ready. Preserving the path helps keep the full address consistent. Check the provider’s domain requirements and test before changing DNS.

If you used a provider-owned domain such as fanlink.tv, you cannot redirect that domain yourself. A new domain with the same path is still a new URL. You must update the links in bios, websites, newsletters, ad destinations and any other placements you control.

Same path does not mean same link

example.fanlink.tv/release and example.fanlink.cloud/release are different addresses. Only the owner of the old host can make the old one redirect.

Review the things an import can miss

  1. Store order: check that priority services are where you want them.
  2. Hidden stores: verify that intentionally removed destinations stay removed.
  3. Manual buttons: check merchandise, ticket and specialist-store URLs.
  4. Tracking: review campaign tags and remove unwanted inherited parameters.
  5. Availability: open important destinations on desktop and mobile.
  6. Consent: do not assume old permissions cover a new purpose or tracking setup.

Move with a rollback plan

For a domain you own, retain the previous DNS values and avoid making unrelated changes during the switch. Check a representative sample of live pages, including older releases and unusual paths. Have one person responsible for the final public test.

Unsleeve includes ToneDen import in all plans. Free imports receive standard Unsleeve addresses. The separate ToneDen move offer requires an eligible code; fanlink.cloud and migrated-domain benefits are not automatically included with every Free account. See the ToneDen move details.
